INTRODUCTION :
District Panchayat Resource Centre (DPRC), Champhai is a training institute under the scheme of Rashtriya Gram SwarajAbhiyan (RGSA). The institute is functioning under the administrative control of State Institute of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj (SIRD & PR), Aizawl, Mizoram. It was inaugurated on 12th July, 2018. As a training institute, it builds capacities of elected representatives, rural development functionaries, CBOs, NGOs, etc.
The main objective of Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA) is to strengthen the local government through capacity building. In this regards, District Panchayat Resource Centre have been conducting trainings on various topic for Elected Representatives as well as for the local community. Since its inauguration, DPRC have conducted 16 trainings under Ministries like Ministry of Law & Justice (MoLJ), Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD), Ministry of Panchayati Raj (MoPR) and National Institute of Social Defence (NISD).

The centre is also equipped with complete sound system in Conference Hall and Auditorium, computer with printers, xerox machine, laptops, projector, Television sets, water cooler and other necessary furniture for office used.
Methods of Training :
Keeping in view the varied nature of the training participants, diverse and appropriate training methods are used. Some of these methods are lecture – cum – discussions, group discussions, exercises, field visit, etc.
